Automated Rice Reverse Vending Machine

Automated Rice Reverse Vending Machine

Project Overview:

The Automated Rice Reverse Vending Machine intends to aid the environment by being eco-friendly, promoting proper waste disposal, and helping the people in need. The user interface is a 7" touchscreen LCD that allows the user to communicate with the system. The user must insert the required bottles for recycling in exchange for rice to be dispensed by the machine.

The machine has monitoring and visual assistance through Android Application, GSM application, and a Touch Screen Monitor. It will accept  PET plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and tin cans. The machine detects the inserted object using various sensors, including a Photoelectric Sensor for PET plastic bottles detection, an Inductive Proximity Sensor for aluminum and tin cans detection, a Weight Sensor for the object's weight, DHT22, and an Ultrasonic Sensor for the object's height. The Triple-Axis Accelerometer Breakout is used to detect machine vibrations and tilt.

This project is still on its development stage and to be completed around February 2022.
